Executive Coach
For five-plus years, I helped grow and run a relational skills community-turned-non-profit from 10 to around 2,000 members. In that time, I helped train and mentor over 200 facilitators in leading relational practices and trainings.
My work in this field spans involvement in startups, Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, civic leadership training, non-profits, workshops for famous scientists and philanthropists from around the globe, and I volunteer for TEDxYouth and at-risk youth mentorship programs.
I was drawn to the relational world upon learning that in order for people to innovate and/or create meaningful relationships—professionally or personally—vulnerability is critical. Poor choices and poor communication wield politics and wasted time; a mismatch between practiced and spoken values yields disengagement from team members; and fear of failure or a culture of invulnerability means innovative solutions don’t hatch. No matter the level of intellectual prowess, time and again I’ve witnessed how a lack of intra- and interpersonal development leaves people and teams effectively handicapped.
My work includes creating leaders and team cultures that with minimum friction deeply drive innovation and synergy.
I’m an honors graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. I’ve traveled through 45 countries to date, usually solo and in developing regions; I also did work for the United Nations in Bangkok.
